Sportcenter Wittenau is the ideal Racketlon venue with high quality facilities across all 4 sports, in a very compact centre with each sport right next to each other. With a spa area, outdoor BBQ and supermarket right next door to the venue, this is a piece of Racketlon heaven…
A great chance for you to come and experience all the sights and sounds of Berlin…by day and night.
We will organise a welcome evening of drinks and/or food at a great venue in central Berlin on Thurs 9th July + will provide a BBQ for all players on Sunday during the prize giving ceremoney
The last two editions of the IWT Berlin Open have been very popular and we reached capacity several weeks before the entry deadline, so please make sure you enter early as we have a limited number of places for this tournament – once we reach our capacity, we will have to close entries.

Venue Information
Situated in the north of Berlin, the Sportcenter Wittenau is a fantastic Racketlon tournament venue:
– Large badminton hall
– Separate Butterfly Table Tennis area right next to the badminton courts
– Glass-back traditional plaster squash courts
– Tennis on indoor hard courts with a retractable roof (for indoor or outdoor play)
With hardly any distance between the sports, a central bar area, sauna, beer garden and BBQ with a large supermarket next door to the venue – and with direct trains, players can be in central Berlin within 15 mins from Wittenau station…this is racketlon city break heaven!
Schedule
Below is the basic information for the playing schedule – details about the welcome meal on Thursday night, a Sat night out in Berlin + the BBQ for players on Sunday, will all be published nearer to the tournament.
Friday 10th July
09.00 : Doubles categories to start
16.00: First rounds of some of the biggest open singles classes may begin (usually Men A, B, C)
Saturday 11th July
08.30: All age group singles start (junior and senior) and all open singles start or continue
20.00: Doubles Prize Giving Ceremony
Sunday 12th July
08.30: All singles categories continue
13.30: BBQ in the beer garden
14.30: Prize giving ceremony
Accommodation Details

– Very nice 4 star hotel right in the centre of Berlin surrounded by the sights and history of Berlin, with restaurants, museums and entertainment on the hotel’s doorstep…and very easy direct trains to the nearest station to the sportcenter.
– Simple, basic, apartment hotel that is walking distance to the venue (but located outside of the centre of Berlin)

Very nice, 4 star hotel perfectly located in the centre of Berlin: 5 mins walk to Potsdamer Platz station which has regular, direct trains to Wittenau station (nearest stop for sport center).

Apartment Hotel Wittenau is located less than 1 km from the Sportcenter (approx 10 mins walk).
It is also only 5 mins walk from Wittenau station.
It offers simple accommodation in twin / double rooms with a fridge and a small kitchen. No breakfast or other hotel amenities.

We will arrange a Thursday evening welcome meal in central Berlin (from approx 20.00)
Sat evening will also be spent in central Berlin for drinks, food and a visit to the Berlin club scene for the brave
Sunday we will have a BBQ at the venue during finals and prize giving…
Tournament Entry
Previous IWT Berlin Opens were sold out several weeks before the entry deadline – please make sure you enter EARLY to avoid disappointment!
You do not have to pay your entry fee when you enter (entry fees are taken by bank transfer nearer to the time of the tournament).

Singles: 60 euros (2nd singles category: 45 euros)
Junior singles u12/u14/u16: 30 euros
Junior singles u18/u21: 40 euros
