The 2019 IWT Berlin Open was sold out and full more than 2 months before the tournament, so please make sure you enter early as we have a limited number of places for this tournament – once we reach our capacity, we will have to close entries.

Venue Information

Situated in the north of Berlin, the Sportcenter Wittenau is a fantastic Racketlon tournament venue:

– Large badminton hall
– Separate Butterfly Table Tennis area right next to the badminton courts
– Glass-back traditional plaster squash courts
– Tennis on indoor hard courts with a retractable roof (for indoor or outdoor play)

With hardly any distance between the sports, a central bar area, sauna, beer garden and BBQ with a large supermarket next door to the venue – and with direct trains, players can be in central Berlin within 15 mins from Wittenau station…this is racketlon city break heaven!

Schedule

Below is the basic information for the playing schedule – details about sightseeing tours, meals on Thursday + Friday evenings and the Saturday player’s dinner and party will be published nearer to the tournament

Friday 9th May

09.00 : Doubles categories to start
16.00: First rounds of some of the biggest open singles classes may begin (usually Men A, B, C)

Saturday 10th May

08.30: All age group singles start (junior and senior) and all open singles start or continue
20.00: Doubles Prize Giving Ceremony

Sunday 11th May

08.30: All singles categories continue
13.00: BBQ in the beer garden
16.00: Prize giving ceremony

– Very nice 4 star hotel right in the centre of Berlin surrounded by the sights and history of Berlin, with restaurants, museums and entertainment on the hotel’s doorstep…and very easy direct trains to the nearest station to the sportcenter.

– Simple, basic, apartment hotel that is walking distance to the venue (but located outside of the centre of Berlin)

We will arrange a Thursday evening welcome meal in central Berlin (from approx 20.00)

Sat evening will also be spent in central Berlin for drinks, food and a visit to the Berlin club scene for the brave

Sunday we will have a BBQ at the venue during finals and prize giving…

The 2019 IWT Berlin Open was sold out and full over 2 months before the tournament – please make sure you enter EARLY to avoid disappointment!

You do not have to pay your entry fee online in advance – it is possible to pay in cash at the tournament.
